This has been a very busy Spring for me as I get to help start up a makerspace in Joplin as well as participate in Tulsa’s startup weekend and advise on some Oculus Rift Development and the latest Ludum Dare game jam. For Ludum Dare 32 I decided to do a group Jam instead of the regular solo entry, and I am glad I did! It was very rewarding to get to work with a whole team and help some people new to game development learn and broaden their skills. Not only was it a blast, we did pretty well for a first time breaking the top 100 in one of the categories! We placed $558th overall out of 2,821 entries and 45th in the category of “Mood”. Other notable accolades are placing #154th in the sound/music production category, most of which was done by one of our two 16 year olds who got to participate. We also scored well in graphics and innovation. Here is a link to a youtube video and the Ludum Dare entry.
2014 was an awesome year, and I am looking forward to what 2015 brings! Max is growing up fast! Already over seven months old and we got a puppy (A beagle named Holly) for Christmas, I know.. We are crazy :p
I almost broke the top 100 in a couple categories with my second Ludum Dare entry, and I am already looking forward to April! I also have to take a moment to brag on my wife, she has been the best mom and wife in the world, and she amazes me every day!
I am thanking God for all his blessing and looking forward to this year!
Who am I? That is a complex question so I will stick the basics and let you figure out the rest. Mostly a self proclaimed developer and artist, I am into anything and everything digital and cutting edge. I love making things, 3d printing, designing, writing, filming, coding and anything else that lets me use my creative skills to say or do something.
